Wykeford-Brown's book It Come From Uranus is based on the
author's own encounter with a Flying Saucer at Seckleston on 13th
December 1952. Very little in the way of biographical details exist
concerning Wykeford-Brown. He held a senior post in the Air Ministry
from 1935-1946, it is believed that Wykeford-Brown undertook
intelligence work for the Ministry, and was a member of a small and
highly secret unit within DDITech. For some years now rumours have
circulated regarding Wykeford-Brown's involvement with operation FORK
and later operation KNIFE. Operation FORK was a secret government project
which looked into the potential use of ghosts or other supernatural
entities as secret agents. KNIFE extended this research further by
examining the possibilities of using ghosts to exercise 'mind control'
over the public. Recently several large companies are known to have
made their own investigations in this area, the recent advertisements
for personal protection devices (taser guns) may have relied on 'spook
ads'
"I will control my own destiny. In
today's world, maintaining self confidence involves the need for self
protection. For independent, self-reliant women, the TASER C2 ™ is an effective protection device that fits any lifestyle ... Buy Now."
In a letter to his old friend the Rev Freddy Birkswell, Wykeford-Brown
admits that he was profoundly disturbed by the experience.
"The whole affair has quite distressed me, what can I do? I
confide in you as a friend and a man who knows something of the world
beyond our common experience."
Rev Birkswell was a scholar and acknowledged expert on the occult.
It is believed that correspondence took place between Wykeford-Brown
and Albert K. Bender.
Wykeford-Brown made several drawings of the craft and it's occupants.
